Holiday Parade December 6
The Lakeland Holiday Parade theme this year is "A Storybook Holiday." The parade will be held on Saturday, Dec. 6, at 11 am (rain date: Sunday, Dec. 7, 2 pm). The parade is sponsored by the Lakeland Lion’s Club and the City of Lakeland.
The parade route begins at the corner of Shadow Green on King's Ridge (in the Fairway Meadows subdivision), goes east to Canada Rd, turns north and ends at the Lakeland Outlet Mall. Candy will be thrown liberally and chairs, blankets and snacks are welcome

The deadline to enter the parade is Dec. 4 at 5 pm. To enter, download the following files or or call Lakeland City Hall at 867-2717 to obtain a copy:

Keep the information sheet for your reference. Remember, the deadline to enter is Thursday, Dec. 4, at 5 pm.

Entries will be judged in four categories: floats, bands, cars and "Lion's Choice," which encompasses all other categories. Cash prizes and trophies will be awarded to the top three to four places in each category.

I'm trying to gauge interest this week, and then email the lady with the same question. Gary has expressed interest also.

our Jeep club participates in the Bartlett and Hernando parades each year. if you guys want to drive in one, i'd recommend the Hernando parade.
